Exercise in Freedom of Speech #1:
If you are a Christian, you have no doubt read the story of Elijah in I Kings 18. The parallel to modern times cannot be overlooked. Indeed, perhaps the main message of the prophet Elijah to his people, and to us today, is that God will not be worshipped in connection with any other god or object of affection. He will not share His glory with anything or anyone. He will not reside side by side with any so-called god. And He commanded His people not to either.
"For how should my name be polluted? I will not give my glory unto another." Isaiah 48:11.
"Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: For I am God, and there is none else." Isaiah 45:22.
The monotheism of Christianity does not lend itself to religious compromise. The challenge set forth by the prophet Elijah is fundamental to the outward practice of our belief.
How many gods can there be? Based on the scriptures above and many more like them, only one. The popular western, ultra liberal culture of today is one that frowns on exclusion. Many demand that all things be equal for all people, regardless of religion and a lot of other things. That is blatantly contrary to the word of God.
When it comes to recognizing and worshipping deity the all-inclusive nature of our society cannot be accepted by anyone who is a believer in the God of the Bible, the same one who is the only God of America.
We as Christians cannot join in or even acknoweldge the validity of those who worship any other god. Period. We must draw a line of separation between what we know to be true from the Holy Scriptures and what is blatantly anti-christ. The "god force" of the far eastern metaphysical religions and middle eastern religions as well cannot be reconciled with the covenant God of the Holy Scriptures. Jehovah and Baal in Elijah's day and Jehovah and Allah in our day cannot be merely two different forms of the same god. Please do not miss this: The lie that Allah is another name for the sovereign God of Christianity is the lie of the enemy. It is no more true and no more to be tolerated today than when the nation of Israel tried to live worshipping a false god and the true God.
The original immigrants who came to the United States of America were almost without exception from Christian nations. How, why, and specifically when America got derailed into letting immigrants of every godless sort into this country, not to mention that they most often are our liability sociologically as well, is beyond the understanding of any scripture-wise person.
Approximately 40 years ago the immigration policy of America was changed by godless men who threw the doors wide open to any person from any country in the world, many times the very worst countries, and largely non-Christian nations at that. Not only did they throw the doors wide open, they left them unguarded so that the most despicable types of humanity (with no resemblence to those original "huddled masses) entered freely and settled in every city and town in this great nation. Of course, the inevital happened.
God repeatedly warned His people in the Old Testament about the consequences of letting godless foreigners dwell in their midst. How has it happened then, that most of the immigrants to this country in the last 40 years have been just such godless foreigners? And what has happened to America because of it?
God gave me a simple, encapsulated picture of this just yesterday as He knows how heavy this is on my heart. Take it down to the level of my own home, as that is what a nation is on a larger scale.
Would I allow, let alone purposefully invite, any person to move into my home who in every way had beliefs that not only conflicted with mine, but one who also worshipped a false god, or was a godless atheist, or a practicer of occult religion, witchcraft, etc? Of course not! Why? Because not only would they pollute my home with their presence, but there would be no peace, only perpetual conflict. Add to that the fact that this person then becomes brazen enough to demand everything that I have by right as a God-fearing Christian. Brought down to this level, can you see that this would ultimately be an impossible and dangerous situation? Now look at the big picture of America today.
Jesus Christ said we are either for Him or against Him. God from the beginning of establishing laws for his people warned them that they were never to allow the godless or those who worshipped false gods to dwell in their midst. Those who were allowed to remain with God's people had to become as God's people and live as God commanded. Why? For the same reason that He will not share His glory with anything or anyone else: It pollutes His nation, it pollutes His people. It puts His people not only in physical danger, but much more importantly in spiritual compromise.
America is seeing the consequences of having violated this law of God. Now every recent immigrant in this country demands the right to practice whatever religion they choose, and in that process our liberal government has aided and abetted them to the extent that they have attempted to remove the Sovereign God from our schools, our businesses, and recently, from public mention and view altogether to the extent that we are told by our liberal, godless media not to do certain things lest we run the risk of offending these godless immigrants and temporary sojourners here on student and visitor's visas in this land.
It is deplorable, in may ways it seems surreal, inconceivable, not even imaginable that this could be so.
You can be sure of this: Our great and merciful God is offended by all of this, more offended than any person on this planet ever will be. And even as from the beginning of time, He only tolerates it for a certain time before the consequences are reaped and meted out. He is not overlooking this as many think, He is only biding his time until His time arrives.
I am offended by all of this too. In fact, I am greatly offended for my God. I marvel at the vastness of His compassion and mercy, yet I tremble at His righteousness!
How is it that the mindless masses of evil Americans try persistently to remove America's God from every institution in the country, while at the same time work tenaciously to give godless foreigners, and people who practice every abomination defined by a Holy God, the rights and privileges they are simultaneously removing from others, and in many cases demanding more rights for them than you and I have as sovereign, God-fearing citizens?
What would Jesus Christ do today? What does He expect us with His Holy Spirit in us to do today? How are we to think and act regarding this situation? If we read His word, we canfind His answers. Jesus was no pacifist!
We as Christians were warned by Him, "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you." (Pretty strong words and applicable today!) Is that a clear picture of what has happened to America today? Have we tossed the blood-bought freedoms, rights, and liberties of America to the vilest trash, swine and dogs of the world with no thought for the consequences?
In my opinion by giving the God-given blessings of America to the "dogs and swine" (those are His words), we are reaping the results just as Jesus said. Jesus also told His disciples, and therefore us as His disciples, "Whoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when you depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet." In other words, shake the dust of pollution and filth from you. (Matthew 10:14. Mark 6:11, Luke 9:5) Again, in Acts 13:51, they shook the dust off their feet against those who rejected God and they departed. The apostles did not hang around in their midst. Nor does God say that we should do so today. And God certainly does not ever want us concerned about offending the beliefs of the godless! Jesus offended nearly every person He came in contact with!!! We are never to deny the truth of our Holy God.
We need to be less tolerant, not more. And we do not need to be concerned at all that godless foreigners and immigrants are offended by us. They need to be offended and hopefully many will be, and pricked in their conscience too by the power of the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ. They will not be if we endanger our own eternal life by watering down the truth of God, tolerating every abomination that God hates, meekly accepting the worst the world has to offer, instead of speaking out, and standing fast against all these things.
Put simply, what is an abomination to God had better be an abomination to us as believers in Jesus Christ.
And, we have a very powerful weapon to use too against the named-enemy, bin Laden and all his cohorts. I read in an e-mail that was going around recently that the worst thing we could do to bin Laden when we catch him would not be to kill him outright, that would only make him a martyr in the minds of fools. This e-mail suggested something a little different. Bring him to this country, do a sex change operation on him, making him a female, and return him to his own country to live as a female. However, we are not barbarians, and vengeance belongs to our God. From what I have read of His word, He is as perfect at that as He is in all things. In fact, He gets downright wrathful when provoked!
As I said, He has given us a powerful weapon: God has given us the power to heap buckets of burning coals on each and every head of His enemy and our enemies. How? By praying for them fervently and relentlessly. I am serious about this! I actually prayed for bin Laden and all his cohorts the other day, and it was a wonderfully cathartic experience. It took some doing to pray with a sincere heart, but I have been working at this. I take the word of God literally, believing every instruction Jesus gave us was a commandment. He intends for us to do them!!! That's what commandment means. Commandments are not options, not multiple choice, do this thing, but opt out on that one. Do them as He commanded. Okay, so I prayed for my enemies. What an incredible God we have!!! Not only did that release God's power in the proper direction, it washed my heart and mind clean of the outrage, anger, bitterness, etc., etc! So beautifully amazing!
And so I continue praying. And, when I am doing that, I am thinking less about rounding up all the godless foreigners and setting them adrift in rowboats in the general direction from whence they came.
Putting them all on airplanes back to their country of origin along with their hyphenated-handle names would be fine with me. Until they demonstrate a desire to become Americans and everything that stands for, they do not have an automatic right to be here, and millions of Americans would be happier if they weren't.
Anyone who comes to this country and then demands to be called by their country-origin name has to be more than a little bit deficient, and should not be allowed within the borders of America. That isn't meant to sound hostile, it is reality. They must love their homelands more than America to insist on using that as their title. Not only that, but they expect the rest of us to remember all these handles, and never refer to or address them incorrectly. And if we do boo-boo, oh, they are all over us with their whining about being offended!! Balderdash! Who cares what their country of origin is???? Do they care a hoot about your heritage or mine???
I am incensed and insulted every time I hear or read one of their "titles" and their ridiculous handles. And, then I laugh. What absurdity! There isn't one person living in America who doesn't have an ancestral handle of some sort, and some of us, at the risk of neglecting any of our ancestral heritage, would have some pretty long handles too. Mine would be something like:
French-English-Scottish-Canadian-Chippewa-American.
Now, doesn't that look ridiculous!!! However, my brother traced our family tree back to Adam, and I am also related to the prophet Jeremiah, King David, and a lot of other Jews so I better put that in my handle too!!! See what utter nonsense this is???
I am proud to be an American!!! And, in my opinion, anyone who doesn't feel the same way doesn't belong here!
Well, thanks for letting me exercise my God given right of free speech and the privilege to speak freely!
I welcome any and all comments, and I have no doubt I will get them. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ, God of America and all that exists! Oh, what a wonderful God we have! |
